Never-ending is my journey. From the beginning days to seasons spent in the abyss, I journey on. Descending caves marred with the picked clean bones of those who tread before me, littered with the remains of predator and prey, strewn about like a child's playthings. Mountains to make Olympus envious and awed. Snow-capped peaks no mortal eyes have seen before mine loom like the teeth of some long dead giant. No longer do eagles dare, finding no air to keep aloft upon. Heaven's Gate it is called, though man has forgotten it's true name. Forests of trees so tall as to have let no sun past their grasp in aeons. Mushrooms and toadstools as a man could use for his home if he had a mind to. The scent of rot and decay mixed with that of the flora to create an aroma to please the underworld lords. No beast has tread before me upon these darkened lands. My final journey? No, for I travel on, throughout eternity. I stand now on the threshold of a beginning, but not the beginning. I do not have an end, before or after. I stand before the world, atop the highest peak and looking up from the lowest gorge, the ice-cold wind piercing my skin like sharp knives, as I call upon my fellow travelers. My heart beats no more yet I live. The glaring sun blinds me in this vile darkness and blocks my hearing from all that I see. Take me, if you will, but remember: I was before and yet shall I ever be, your master, even as you take me for your slave. From this place do I journey on, forward into the unknown, as I have since the abyss we call life. Which is life unto your kind, but not mine. I call unto your sense of adventure, your honor, and your soul. Call me foolish, call me brave, but beyond the grave calls me forth into it's searing cold and warm embrace. I am no more. I am forever. I am.

Cold chills on that one my friend. You should have all your work published. If Tolkien could read your works, he would be inspired!!

That took me approximately 2 days to write, with about 3 to 4 hours of actual thought and writing/typing involved.

Hey if it took you 2 days to make a stroy that, think how long it takes to make 10 times larger than that, it would be alot of writing.
You could still do it ;D

It only took 2 days because I had to work and do a lot of other things during that time. Otherwise, it would have taken only around 3 or 4 hours. ;D
