"Surely it can not sirrah. Your wound is deep. It will only take a few more..ah there" Fernelf responds as she finishes the last few dainty stitches. Taking the cloth she had ripped she wraps the cloth and secures it. Standing she states"you are in no shape to go and take on yet another wolf. No need to apologize for you bought all of us some time and your acts were brave". Fernelf looks to the hobbits lips for his words. 'You said something earlier about wolves in the shire...tell me ..for how long have they been threatening your folk." Fernelf looking behind her for any sign of Morg or Nevnarial and seeing none turns back to Salu. "hold those words for a moment whilst I see how our frineds fare" with that Fernelf grabbing her dagger sets off in the direction of the stream......

Salur tries to be patient and waits while Fernelf checks on the others. After a minute or two, which seemed like a millenia to a hobbit in his late tweens, he decided to go find his staff. No sooner did he stand up did he have to sit down again. Apparently Fernelf was right. He was in no condition to go anywhere. "Luckily Shire-folk heal faster than others," He says to himself as he predicts he should be able to be up and around in the morning and able to do some work around the camp in a few days. The wolf's damage to the young Hobbit's independence was more painful to the hobbit than the wound itself. "This will teach me to go off by myself" Salur says under his breath.

( as Nevnarial)
Nevnarial lay looking up to the sky when she heard yelling in the distance. Jumping up she looked to see wolves stalking their prey. Nevnarial thought to herself.."Where there are wolves there are usually more then just a few. I will travel down the stream and see if there are yet more dangers approaching". Nevnarial secured her bow to her back and waded chest deep into the water so the wolves could not pick up her scent. Ever so quiet she lowered herself under the water and swam downstream. When she felt she had swam far enough to pass the wolves and camp she surfaced to peer at her surroundings. Nevnarial slowly waded to the embankment and made her way quietly to the bushes lining the road. She looking to and fro and slowly making her way in the direction away from the camp. "I am sure the other three can take care of those few wolves back at camp. I will make sure there are no other dangers yet to be confronted". With those thoughts Nevnarial continued down the road ever so silent....

(as Morg, with permission) (Morg, you can revise or replace it when you get back, won't insult be a bit. I read your history, but I have not really talked to you character or seen him fight yet, so I'm running on empty.)
Arriving at the river where Nivnarial had been, Morg smells the sent of the elf. The sent is faint and leads nowhere leading him to thing she entered the water. Assuming she's bathing he turns to walk back to camp. Suddenly he picks up a sent. "Is that?..." he turns in south in the direction of downstream, "wolves!". Three are coming in his direction, 1 female and 2 males. Thinking of the others and knowing that where there are 3 wolves there could be more, "I have to make quick work of these and check on the others!" he growls. In one swift movement, he readies his war hammer and spreads his feet apart. "You fools! There is no meat here for you, only death!"
At this vocalization, the wolves surround Morg just out of reach of his war hammer. Morg, an experienced warrior knows that this will not do. He thrusts towards the stream, making a path with his hammer. Facing inland, all three wolves are now in front of him, though still out of reach of his hammer. As each wolf decides to thrust forward, Morg swings his war hammer. The wolves usually go back before the hammer meets them, but Morg gets a few hits in.
One of the wolves, a male, decides to retreat and run back. As he gets closer to Morg, he leaps into the air in an attempt to tackle the dwarf. The wolf was an easy target and is met with the head of Morg's war hammer. The flying wolf's fall is broken by the female wolf. The wolves finally give up and limp back downstream. Morg considers following them, but he is worried about the others. He makes his way towards camp and is met by Fernelf halfway. "Where is the hobbit?" he asks, knowing Nivnarial can take care of herself.

Fernelf almost running into Morg Stormhammer stops in her tracks. "He has been injured nothing lethal but his arm will hurt for quite a while".Fernelf looks Morg over and sees no obvious injuries. "are you well?' she asks as she looks for sign of pain.
Morg grumbles "I am as well as one could be seeing that my fast has been broken and have been sent off to look for a Elf that has disapeared no less". With that Morg grabs his axe and makes his way back to the camp.
Morg walks over to the hobbit and looks to his wounds. Fernelf walks up behind and taps Morg on the head. "I am worried since I have very little supplies here" she adds in a low voice to the dwarf. "I need some bitter root and tincture of rhine. I know there is an alchemist in the last town I past but I dare not leave Salur. Would you....could you...go and bring me back some of the needed supplies?. You can also check on Nevnarial as I think she may have went in the same direction. That woman is very independent and one day that is going to get her in trouble. Follow her dear Morg and see that she is ok" Fernelf adds.
Morgs grabbing the pail of meadow berry tea taking a long draught then answers. "yes I will do just that. Tell me all that you wish me to gather and I will be on my way".
Fernelf lists many supplies that she knows will help not only the hobbit to heal but that also will help her to build her sanctuary.
After hearing the list Morg exclaims,"For the love of my shoulders and back woman I do hope you can spare at least Nevnarials steed to help me carry all of this"
Walking to his poney and grabbing the reins of Nevnarials steed Morg walks off singing a song in his lusty voice.
"O! What are you doing, And where are you going? Your ponies need shoeing! The river is flowing! O! ta-la-la-lally here down in the valley!
O! Where are you going, With beards all a-wagging? No knowing, no knowing......
Fernelf watched Morg as he disapeared saying a little prayer for his safety and speedy return. Turning back to the hobbit she informed him."I am going to drag the wolves up here. They are normal wolves and not foul so their meat is good and we can use their fur"
With that fernelf set off to drag the wolves one by one back to camp...

Still waiting on the others to get back, Salur decides to eat a little of the food made by Morg. "Something so delicious should never go to waste!" he said as if answering someone. The tea that Fernelf made was no less delicious and the meal prepared by Morg was almost as good as his Aunt Sallera made, and that was saying alot. Finally seeing Fernelf come through the bushes, he offers her a plate (no hobbit leaves home without packing eating utensils) and asks, "Where are the others?

"Morg is right behind me and I do believe Nevnarial set off down the road towards the last town I passed" Fernelf responds to what her eyes tell her the hobbit has asked. Fernelf watches Morg as he inspects the hobbits wounds and helps him to make ready his trip to find Nevnarial and to gather supplies. After watching Morg leave the camp Fernelf looks to Salur and informs him she will go find the wolves and drag them back to camp.
"We can use their meat and their pelts" with that fernelf sets off to drag the wolves one by one.
Finding 2 wolves Fernelf brings each back to camp. Glancing at the hobbit between her trips she sees he looks less pale. "Keep sipping on the tea as it will help ease any lingering pain"
Bringing back the second wolf. Fernelf checks to make sure he is no longer in this life. After she is certain the wolf breathes no more she takes her dagger and begins to dress to the wolf. "The others must have fled for I only found 2 wolves" she states out loud absently.
"If I can get these pelts dressed and dried we will have warm coverings for the nights. " Fernelf thinks aloud. Looking to the hobbit as she works on the wolves she asks"Now Sirrah if you are up to it, mayhaps now is a good time to tell me about the wolves that have been invading the shire these days"?....

"It all started with the ringing of the warning bell in Bywater. At first, most thought it was kids playing pranks, but after Posco Bramble, a shirriff was attacked by one, folks started taking it seriously. Now we seem to have a wolf sighting almost monthly. Where are we? Are we still in the Shire? My distance judgement is a little off since I've only made one long trip in my life."

Fernelf's brooch of Gondor picks up enough sound to alert her to the fact the Hobbit has spoken. She walks over to him and asks him to repeat his last words. After reading his lips, Fernelf stretches her back and looks around. "hmmm we are in Eriador...if I am not mistaken if we were to follow this stream to the east we would reach Fangorn. This is my best guess for now as I have traveled as far as Dunland in the last few moons. This place felt safe to me and I needed a place to rest while I try and find out what has happened to two hobbits I have vowed to find. Say...you may have some news of them. I have promised my Da that I will find some word of them. There are two that went a missing. A master and his gardener. Nigh a few monns ago. I have not found out any clue thus far as to their where-a-bouts. They just disapeared. Both houses were ransacked but nothing was taken. It is not like either to just up and go without a word to anyone. Most in the shire think that bandits kidnapped them for some sort of ransom...but I feel it in my blood that something more sinister is in the air...I wonder if the wolves and this have anything in common?"...
Fernelf having stripped the pelt from the wolf begins to cut the meat and hang both the pelt and the meat strips over some branches to dry. She then grabbed the pail and went to the stream and filled it. Grabbing some twigs she stoked the fire. Taking some food that was leftover she nibbled as she worked. Does anyone know from where the wolves come?...
Fernelf grabbing some tea and sits down next to the hobbit resting for a few moments ...
While conversing with the hobbit fernelf thinks to herself.."Once he falls asleep this night I will call forth my powers of sorcery and heal him. I dare not do this while he is awake as I may scare him. Some frown upon sorcery..But myself I know it is not me..but a power of the Gods that guide my hands...but until I know his thoughts more I will not reveal this to him"..

"No one is sure, but everyone knows that it is a bad omen," Salur replies. "About the two missing hobbits, what did they look like?" Salur hopes that the hobbits she is looking for are not the same that he had seen along his way.

"One is tall for a hobbit..almost my height..a good looking fellow he is for a hobbit. The other is a stout fellow and always has dirt under his nails as he works wonders with the land. Baggins is the name of the Master and Sam Gamgee is his gardener". Fernelf replies as she sips her tea. "no news...no news indeed..I fear that bodes ill for these two..." Fernelf then adds,"once you are feeling well enough..maybe tomorrow I can get some of these logs in place and we can secure a foundation. With that in place and the roof I have woven, we will be better protected. Since Nevnarial and Morg have taken the road to the west..mayhaps we should look to the roads towards the east in a day or so, to clear out any danger that may be lurking to close to this area. Fernelf then takes some of the precious salt crystal she has and rubs it on the meat. "This will help the meat to cure. We will have food for nigh a moon with all this meat". Fernelf then sits back down next to the Hobbit."We will have to gather some supplies once we are able to. I gave Morg a list but there is much needed."Tending once more to Salurs arm, Fernelf is satisfied the bleeding has stopped. "So about the hobbits....have you seen or heard anything that may help me to find out what may have befallen them?" Fernelf asks.....

" Did they go missing from Crickhollow? I was camped one night at the edge of Crickhollow hedge that protects that town from the Old Forest. One night, I saw 2 hobbits matching your description, but there were 3 more. 4 went under the hedge into the Old Forest, rest their souls, and 1 went back towards Crickhollow. I may have heard the name Baggins in their conversation. I fear they are lost forever. Why they went into such a horrid place, no one could ever explain to me. If you are familiar with the tales of the Old Forest, then you understand their doom." Salur bows his head in sorrow for their fate. "It seems your search for the two is over."
At this, Salur layed down by the fire. He covets rest but cannot force himself to fall asleep on such a sad note. "Tell me about your family," he asks hoping her stories might cheer him up so he can sleep.

Fernelf not happy at all about the words shared by Salur looks solemn. "I do hope they are guided by forces much stronger then any they may come up against if indeed that is the two I seek. Now that you mention it there were 2 other hobbits that disappeared around the same time...but they were mischief makers and most think they just went adventuring. You say you may have seen all of them together? hmmm...this gets stranger and stranger. Nothing I can do about it tonight, but as soon as we can I will need to follow the paths they may have treaded. Even if they have found their doom...I will need to let my da and others know." Fernelf sat for a few moments in silence as she considered the dangers that were ahead of her.....
Looking to Salur she then began to tell him of herself. "Well there is not much I know. The only family I can remember is my da. He found me under some bushes as an infant. He named me Fernelf because there was a fern stuck between my toes." Fernelf's eyes take on a far away look as she begins to recall her home. " I grew up in a tavern and was taught many secrets about brewing fine ales. My da would let me experiment with different ingredients. I would add various herbs and such for different colors and flaver. I love experimenting with herbs, maybe that was why I had that fern there between my toes"......Fernelf looks over and can see the hobbit's closing every so often. She changes the tone of her voice to one of soothing..luring the Hobbit to sleep with her words...
